This tattoo was initiated by large life changes. This friend saw my abstract work and as things in his life were shifting dramatically he felt this was the time for a first tattoo experience. This design was drawn on matt board with a brush pen. They were created quickly using intuition to guide the shapes on the page.
The client chose a design that spoke to him and I enlarged it significantly so that the brush strokes and painterly qualities became more prominent . The top portion was from the original drawing but the rest was largely freehanded. This was all done in one day and we curated an intentional space using sage and energy work.
